Seems like a good reason to quit using "kakaotalk". ;)
But everyone chats on kakao these days!!!! It’s kinda like line to japanese people
@mahogare By "like Line to Japanese people", you mean "dead to me"*? ;)
I think the bottom line is that the people who always get burned but never change their behavior will stick around and the rest will migrate somewhere else. It's as if shitty 'open world MMO-like PvP-focused survival games' never shut their servers down: A few people would stick around, regardless of how bad it gets and the rest will keep wandering. I'd say that's pretty much the 'social media lifestyle'.

Wait line is dead?? Didn’t know that
Kakaotalk is more of a default messanger for irl people rather than social media
My friends, family, workplace all sends messages via kakaotalk, and while it’s not impossible, very few people talk to strangers on the app
So that’s a critical problem :/
@mahogare I could not tell you what trustworthy services/network are available to 'you', but regular IRC* could be an option - depending on how private the things you discuss in a group are.

That's crazy, the government are fighting each other and the citizens who are minding their own business have to pay the price, even forbidding the use of simple words in a chat app, that's childish!!
